In early spring every year in Downtown Saint George, dozens of booths are filled by artists of all types. Photographers, painters, sculptures, and craft makers of all creeds, gather to display and sell their artwork in the Historic Town Square Park. We have even seen such unique vendors as cartoonists displaying their work here.
This FREE two-day event features live music and food vendors, and is right next to the city library and the Saint George Children’s Museum. On top of that, the park itself has a carousel, chess tables, a splash pad and an artificial river for kids (and grown-ups) to play in.
Many of the booths are occupied by local artists, but some travel from all over the country to display their unique art here. The city has strict restrictions on the artists to ensure that they are selling original art and that prints sold are limited, signed and numbered prints. Many of the pieces feature the stunning landscapes typical of Southwestern Utah, giving the attendees an opportunity to take an interpretation of the local beauty back home with them.
In 2018, the Saint George Art Festival will be held on March 30-31st.
This event is usually held on a different weekend each year, so check the link below to make sure you’re here at the right time.
