Wild Caving Sampler Adventure

This adventure offers participants the opportunity to experience a wild cave environment with limited amount of crawling through connecting passages.

We enter the cave and begin to descend via stooped hiking and some downclimbing to a wide ledge area where we rig a 170 foot long rappel down to the Big Room. Here some further exploration will take you to the very lowest point of the cave: 250 below the parking lot.

Some optional squeezing into a route known as the underworld will offer the opportunity to experience a different aspect of the caving world, as you worm and grope through a series of tunnels

The ascent up the far wall of the Big Room leads to a roped traverse where an overhead anchor will protect against any slips. Eventually you catch the scent of fresh air and you emerge reborn into the outside world.

Strength: ability to hang from pull up bar for 30 seconds
Aerobic: ability to walk up 30 flights of stairs (even if it takes a while and you have to stop)
Balance: ability to walk a balance beam
