The edge of the mesa exposes innumerable domes, washes, cliffs and canyons of intricately striped red, pink, and white sandstone reminiscent of the Wave formation in the Paria Wilderness.  One mile of approach hiking along an old 4WD road ensures a fair level of solitude, which is enhanced by the wide latitude of hiking possibilities that present themselves along this vast and colorful mesa.
