Some well kept secrets of the locals are the many ways that we beat both the heat and crowds of the summer travel season.  Higher elevations, shade, and finishing by headlamp are the tricks of the outdoor trade, and this adventure leverages all of those techniques.

Starting after an early dinner, we travel in airconditioned comfort to the head of the canyon, and descend to its shady and cooler confines via several rappels, hiking, scrambling, and possibly wading through pools of water depending on conditions.  At the end of the slot we begin our ascent back to the vehicle, using headlamps when necessary, and eventually begin our drive back as the first stars appear.

Strength: ability to climb a 12 foot ladder leaning against a house
Aerobic: ability to walk up 5 flights of stairs, without stopping
Balance: ability to stand on one foot for 10 seconds with eyes closed

Reservation/Cancellation Policy: 
2 weeks before the scheduled program date we will call to obtain a credit card number to hold the reservation.  We do not charge a deposit to this card however any cancellations after this point (for any reason) will be charged 50% of the total program fee.

Cancellations of the program with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the program fee.

No shows will be charged 100% of the program fee.

If we need to cancel the program for any reason, there is no fee.
